don't want to be working right now...

i'd rather be knitting...
i'm done knitting all the necessary pieces to the punk rock backpack...
just in the process of assembling it... so far i've got the side attached to the back with the straps attached...
now i just have to cut the lining AND THEN put that together with the zipper AND THEN put it all together with the front panels AND THEN put it all together with the back...
i'm thinking about making an interior pocket or two... i might make a wee spot to keep my ipod stable...
anyways... i've also started on something else... i've started knitting the kitty hat from stitch n' bitch...
i was planning on knitting that in a hot pink blue sky alpaca 100% cotton... but since funding is a bit low...
i've gone to start it on some white bernat 100% acrylic on 6mm needles... i know the book says 17st/4"... and the combination i've got at the moment is 15st/4" but i figured that i'd just give it a go for the sake of giving something a go...
i'll get the hot pink yarn soon... maybe after getting some money today... i'll also require some 5mm double points... or circular... probably check out walmart or the dollar store for those...
hopefully next wednesday denise, tara and i will go to the stitch n' bitch down on queen st w... i think it'll be fun... it'll also give tara a chance to meet some new ppl...
i've recently joined the stockholm stitch n' bitch yahoo group... i'm hoping that it'll give me the opportunity to meet some friends of my OWN... there's gotta be at least one person that appreciates a good crochet fetus...
in other news...
upon realizing that i had some funds in my paypal account... i proceeded to browse on the interweb for some knitting related items i could purchase...
i wanted to get either alterknits... or sexy little knits... but instead i bought the 2007 stitch n' bitch calendar... 365 days of knitting... how can i say "no"?
i await its arrival at my doorsteps... i'm looking forward to it 'cause i really like the stitch n' bitch series of books... although there are some things that i think it could improve on... but it is a great beginner's book...
i recently uncovered the location of my stitch n' bitch nation... i still want to knit that bear hat... to replace the one i lost so many years ago (2.5 to be more exact...)
oh well...
i'll post any pictures of the stuff i've completed as soon as i get off my lazy ass...
