i finished irene's hat the other day and gave it to her yesteryday when i met up with her and chris at the school...
she looks super cute in it...
i should bring my camera tonight when i go to the manor for bad movie night...
i gotta get myself a picture of chris & his hat... and irene & her hat...
i've started tara's panda hat... but i think i'm gonna take a wee break... for the moment...
i knitted irene's hat in about 2 days...
i also picked up a book on traditional scandinavian knitting... it's very interesting... it goes into the history of knitting in the scandinavian countries... and has patterns for garments in the book...
i kinda want to try my hand at knitting a pair of those mittens... especially after seeing so many ppl with their knitted mittens...
i had a pair of mittens that i knitted out of blue sky bulky 50% alpaca 50% wool...
extremely lovely mittens... although i couldn't touch my face with them... otherwise i'd get super itchy and eventually burn for a couple of days...
anyways... i lost them when i was in nyc with fredrik last christmas...
this year my coat has top loading pockets rather than side pockets... so the mittens that i have now are safer to being "disposed of"...
