18 balls...

today... was the the first time i had ever bought so much yarn...
yeah yeah... i know i'm a rookie...
but as painful as it is to divert from my savings plan... it is also very nice to see the projects that would come out of these 18 balls of yarn...
not to mention they were 30% off at Lettuce Knit...
**please excuse the fact that the picture is "upside down"... i took it upside down 'cause i was blocking the light... but you get the idea of the colours i bought...
all of them are lamb's pride worsted super wash... 100g each... i'm gonna see if i'll be able to knit a hat out of just 1 ball... i think i can do it...
the blue sky cotton i made my hot pink kitty hat was 150 yards...
these claim to be approximately 200 yards...
i'm pretty sure i can make it... ***knock on wood***

one of the balls will become a hat for my dear friend, Salma... who is unfortunately (but fortunate at the same time 'cause she's got a job working for an awesome animation studio) in New Brunswick...
i think she'll need a hat especially when weather in the maritimes does not tend to be balmy and warm...
i hope she'll like it...
you see that ball of yarn? that's reserved for one Salma Hussain...
the colour is mohogany...

and thus begins my adventures in making lots of hats... and other knitted items...
unfortunately... i can no longer marathon anymore items... this past weekend i spent it wondering why on earth my finger joints feel swollen and sore...
years of using a computer has left me the lovely gift of carpal tunnel syndrome... which spawned tendonitis...
and from my description of what's happened over the weekend and on occasions in the past weeks... my mom fears that it might be arthritis...
i'm going to see a doctor on wednesday... hopefully i'll get it sorted out...
but for the time being i'm trying to take it easy despite my brain telling me that i MUST knit in every available hour that i could possibly spare...
we'll see how it all turns out...
