wow... 2 whole projects on the go!

well... i've offically got 2 projects going at the same time! whoa!!!
for those of you who are already in the elite of multi-project knitting... please bare in mind that i generally have a short attention span that would normally make multi-projects into incomplete projects... so keep that snickering to yourself! i know very well that i'm a rookie at this game...
anyways... so i've got chris' mom's hat... which is done with the exception of the ears and then the pinning and sewing of the ears...

and then on saturday i started my VERY FIRST sock!
i got this totally lovely awesome beautiful Fleece Artist yarn which came with a sock pattern...
i started out knitting with 2.25mm needles (pattern calls for 2.5mm but what the hay...)
but then i got to the heel flap section of the pattern... which i must say... feckin' confusing... i know that socks are rather easy once you get the hang of it... but this pattern... i don't find it easy...
but after scouring some sites on the interweb relating to socks... i now understand... but that's AFTER i ripped out what i had already done... but then again i also decided that the sock was a wee bit small so i'd knit them with 2.75mm needles instead...
the knitting in the picture was the stuff i ripped out... it was a lovely rib knit...
but now i've casted on to new needles and the process will begin again... let's see if i can get a pair of socks done before i die of old age...
